A few years ago a dear friend shared with me a secret on enjoying a meal with children. " Take your children with you and make eating somewhere other than in your home normal . This shared secret has brought many cafe sit down coffee days, restaurant meals with a glass of wine to be enjoyed rather than avoided . It allows the present rather than the future of " someday when they are older" and for that I am grateful because " someday " is one regret I am not willing to have with my children.
